Congenital heart defects are one of the types of heart diseases that are present at birth. These defects are not considered diseases, but they are called disorders. Disorders caused in the heart occur during the formation and growth of the fetus in the mother’s body.

Symptoms of valvular and congenital heart diseases

  • Bluish color of the skin (cyanosis or reduced blood oxygen)
  • Shortness of breath
